1. GAME RULES OF BLACKJACK
The objective of Live Blackjack is to achieve a higher card count than the dealer, but without going over 21. The best hand is Blackjack – when the sum of values of the first two dealt cards is exactly 21.

1.1 Definitions

Blackjack
An ace and an additional card with a point value of ten, dealt as the initial two cards to a player or the dealer.

Hard point value
A hand's point value which contains no Aces or if the Aces only counts as one in value.

Hidden card
A card dealt face down to the dealer, which remains face down until all the players other than the dealer have received all the cards they have requested.

Layout or table layout
The felt, cloth or other material covering the playing surface of a blackjack table.

Soft total or soft point count total
The total point count of a hand containing one or more aces when one ace is counted as eleven in value.

1.2 The Blackjack Table

1.2.1 Blackjack is played on a standard 1450x800mm semi-circular table, with room for a maximum of seven players on one side and room for the dealer on the other side.

1.2.2 A Blackjack table must have a holder for used cards, the tables are not equipped with a "no peek" device. If more than one BlackJack table is in operation, the Blackjack table must have an identification number added by the casino, which is clearly visible on the surface of the table.

1.2.3 The following notices must be available on the layout of the table or written clearly for all players on the table.
i. "Dealer must draw to 16 and stand on 17"
ii. "Blackjack pays 3 to 2" (changed to higher odds if applicable)
iii "Insurance paid 2 to 1" (exchanged for higher odds and restrictions on insurance, if applicable)

1.3 The Rules of the Game

The rules of the game must be stated as follows:

i. Minimum and maximum stakes for the table and, if applicable, minimum and maximum stakes in special circumstances.
ii. Any restrictions on doubling down.
iii. Any restrictions on splitting aces or the number of cards that may be drawn for a split ace.
iv. Any special pay tables or winning odds.

1.4 Dealing Shoes

A dealing shoe must be designed and constructed to ensure the integrity of the game. Dealing shoes and card holders must be inspected before cards are placed in them to ensure that the Card Shoe or other devices are damaged, function properly and have been affected in any way that affects the intrigue of the game.

1.5 The Cards

The values of the cards in a deck of cards are as follows:

i. Cards from 2 to 10 have their own value;
ii. A jack, queen or king has a value of 10;
iii. An ace can have a value of either 1 or 11, unless a value of 11 would give the player or dealer a score above 21, then the ace will have a value of 1.
iv. A standard Blackjack set of playing cards must contain 52 cards in four different suits (Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, Spades), where each suit contains the numerical cards 2 to 10 and a jack, a queen, a king and an ace.

2. Bets

2.1 General Rules

2.1.1 Before the first card is dealt, a player must place a bet.

Bets must be paid as winning bets if one of the following events occurs:

i. The value of the player's card is 21 or less and the value of the dealer's card is more than 21; or

ii. The value of the player's card is higher than the value of the dealer's card, and the value of neither the player's nor the dealer's card is above 21; or

iii. The player has blackjack while the dealer does not.

iv. Bets will be lost when the player does not have a winning hand other than when the value of the player's hand is the same as the dealer's hand. The dealer will collect lost bets, except where irregularities have occurred.

2.1.2 You cannot increase or change the bet after the first card has been dealt, except when the player plays a pair, doubles or chooses to use insurance. All bets must be made according to the game software and from the player's available funds.

2.1.3 No bets shall be accepted by the system, increased or cancelled after the deadline for placing bets has passed. At that time the dealer will announce "No More Bets" - "No More Bets" must be announced before the first card is dealt.

2.1.4 After the last card is scanned and the dealer announces the result of the round, the system will automatically take care of bets on the table, the System will collect lost bets and pay out won bets.

i. The minimum and maximum bet allowed is displayed on the in-game screen.

ii. Players themselves are responsible for their bet(s) being placed correctly.

iii. A bet may be rejected by the system before the cards are dealt, when the bet is not placed in time, does not meet the minimum or maximum bet requirement or it is not possible to communicate with the game server when requested to do so.

2.1.5 A system error will result in all bets and games being cancelled.

2.2 Push (Tie) and Exceptions

The player gets the bet back if the value of the player's hand is the same value as the dealer's hand, or if both the dealer and the player have blackjack. A player's bet is lost if the dealer has a blackjack and the value of the player's card is 21 but not a blackjack. A player's bet is lost when the value of both the player's and dealer's cards is higher than 21.

2.3 Winnings

i. Winnings will be paid at odds of 1 to 1, with the exception of blackjack which is paid at odds of 3 to 2.

ii. When the dealer's and the player's hands have the same value, it is called a push and you neither win nor lose.

iii. If the player's hand exceeds 21, the stake is lost.

2.4 Handling of Stakes

After a bet on insurance, double or split a hand has been confirmed by the system, the player cannot remove or change the bet.

2.5 Insurance

2.5.1 If the dealer’s first card is an Ace, you are given the option to purchase insurance to offset the risk that the dealer has blackjack – even when you have blackjack yourself. The amount of insurance is equal to one half of your main bet. If the dealer does not have blackjack, the round continues. If the dealer has blackjack, but you do not, the dealer’s hand wins. If you and the dealer both have blackjack, the game ends in a push and your bet is returned. A hedging bet is made by placing an extra bet that is half the original bet. The player must reject or approve the forfeit by clicking on the appropriate button.

2.5.2 Insurance bets must be placed directly after the second card has been dealt to each player, after the dealer's first card has been shown and before any further cards are dealt.

2.5.3 All insurances that are won are paid out at odds of 2 to 1. All insurances lost are collected by the system immediately after the dealer checks the hidden card for blackjack.

2.6 Double
A player can double their bet after receiving the first two cards. This involves the player placing a new bet equal to their original bet. Only one card will be dealt to the player who chooses to double.

2.7 Split Par
If the first two cards dealt to the player are of the same value, then the player may choose to split the hand into two separate hands by placing a bet of the same size on the other hand as was placed on the original bet. If the player chooses to split his pair, the dealer must deal one more card to each hand. After a card has been dealt to each hand, the player must stand or draw more cards. A player may not spilt pairs (also applies to aces) more than once. At the casino's discretion, a player who splits aces may only have one card for each ace. In cases where a pair of aces is split where the other card has a value of 10, then the value of the hand is 21 and not blackjack.

3. Card Handling and Manipulation

3.1 Inspection and Presentation of Cards

3.1.1 After the cards are placed on the table, the dealer must sort and inspect the cards. The dealer must ensure that all the cards are there and none of the cards have any damage or are marked in any way.

3.1.2 The Dealer and Pit Boss will turn the cards face up to ensure that all cards are there. The back of the cards will be checked to ensure that there are no markings that could identify the card's value. The cards will be checked for any kind of damage. Casino's surveillance system will video record this process.

3.1.3 If the dealer or pit boss finds broken or marked cards, the pit boss must replace them. The error on the cards is noted and is returned to the card store.

3.1.4 Every time a stack of cards is removed from a Blackjack table and placed on another or the same table for a new game, the dealer must go through the above process again.

3.2 The Shuffling and Reshuffling

3.2.1 After the inspection and presentation of the cards have been completed, they must be turned face down on the table and divided into two equal piles and then thoroughly mixed by a "washing" and a "chemmy shuffle" and then placed in two equal sized piles and then perform a "table riffle" shuffle for each set of cards.

3.2.2 After all the cards have been dealt, the dealer must reshuffle them so that they are in random order. Remixing is done when the cutting card is reached.

3.2.3 The dealer may shuffle the cards in any hand at the casino's sole discretion.

3.3 Separation of Cards

After the cards have been shuffled, the dealer must personally cut the cards.

i. The cutting card must be placed 4 sets of cards from the back of the card shoe.

ii. When the split card is inserted, the dealer must take all the cards in front of the cutting card and place them at the back of the stack.

3.4 The Distribution of Cards

The cards must be dealt from a dealing shoe that is specifically designed for this purpose and must be placed to the left of the dealer. The dealer must take the cards from the card shoe and place them in the designated space on the layout, the dealer must start by giving cards to the player to his left first and then proceed clockwise, the cards are dealt as follows:

i. One card face up to each player who has made a bet;

ii. A face-up card for the dealer number;

iii. Another card face up to each player who has made a bet, and

iv. Another card face down to the dealer.

3.5 The Game

i. After all players and the dealer have been dealt two cards where, all players will be asked to either double, split pair, stand, draw or make an insurance bet.

ii. A player must indicate their choice by selecting the desired button as the system displays on the player's computer within the game's allotted time limit.

iii. The dealer must wait for a signal from the system showing the player's choice before dealing any more cards or before the dealer moves on to the next player, unless the player's hand is exactly 21 or is over 21, in which case the system will signal that the dealer can continue. If there is no response from the player within the allotted time limit, then the system will also signal that the dealer must proceed to the next hand without doing anything further to the previous player's hand.

3.6 The Collection

At the end of each game round, all cards must be collected by the dealer from right to left and place one card on top of the next so that in case of questions or disagreements they can be displayed in the correct order again. Each dealer must constantly pick up the cards in the same direction on all shifts. The dealer must first pick up their cards and use them to pick up the players' cards and add them to the stack in the opposite direction of how they were dealt or from right to left so that the dealer's card is at the bottom of the pile of used cards in the round and then placed in the used card pile.

3.7 Dealer's Hidden Card

The dealer may not look at, show or permit the face-up of the dealer's face-down card until all cards requested by the players have been dealt to them, unless the dealer's face-up card is an ace. If the dealer's face-up card is an ace, then the system will offer the players the opportunity to buy insurance. After the time allocated by the system has passed to make the choice whether the player wants to buy insurance, the dealer will check the hidden card to see if that card will create a blackjack to the dealer.

4. Prohibited Actions

4.1 No casino or other person may remove, add or change any cards other than as mentioned in these rules and no dealer or other employees of the casino shall permit anyone to perform such actions.

4.2 The dealer will not look at or show anyone the face of a card until it has been dealt.

4.3 No dealer or pit boss shall advise a player on playing strategy or recommend proper play of a hand while the player has a bet still awaiting the outcome of the hand.

4.4 Drawing of Additional Cards by the Players and Dealers

i. A player may choose to draw additional cards if the player's hand has a hard point value less than 21. A player with blackjack or a hard or soft point value of 21 will not be offered additional cards by the system.

ii. A dealer must draw additional cards to the dealer's hand as signalled by the system until the dealer has a hard or soft point value of 17, 18, 19, 20, or 21.

iii. A dealer does not draw additional cards to the dealer's hand regardless of point value if the decision has already been found from all the players' hands and the point value of the dealer's hand has no effect on the outcome.
